Nexus S JOP40D@greenblue+Marmite

導入して2週間ほど経ちますが、特に問題なく動いています。相変わらずChromeブラウザを立ち上げる気にはなりませんが…。

There is no support for 4.2 on Nexus S and Xoom. Those devices should continue using 4.1.2.

Nexus S向けのOSアップデートは打ち切られてしまったようなので、AOSPベースのROMを見繕って導入しました。
[INFO][ROM] Guide to build AOSP 4.2. Builds provided for crespo and 4gのスレッドで提供されており、First Postを読むと、配慮の行き届いた、かつ余計な手を加えない雰囲気が感じられます。

Kernelは、Matr1xやMarmiteを使用することがオススメされています。

Flash your favorite AOSP based 4.1.2 kernel if desired. ASOP version of Matr1x and CM10 version of Marmite has been confirmed to work. Stock ROM is not as smooth as other kernels but it works.

ちなみに以下の問題があるので、利用上問題がある方は気をつけてください。

Bluetooth prevents deep sleep (Requires kernel changes? OMAP and Tegra3 have bluetooth kernel patches for the new bluetooth stack)
Nexus S 4G: Can't change voicemail number and cannot switch carrier back from Google Voice to My Carrier.
Lockscreen PIN keyboard cuts off letters from number 7 and 9
Settings -> Battery does not properly show awake times in the graph. (Appears to be dependent on kernel used)
